Felix “the Flame” is on fire this week as he turns out yet another toon, this time of Sweden’s Candlemass. This band has been around since 1985, after Nemesist broke up and former bassist Leif Edling started it with Johan Lanquist and Matz Extroem. Vocalist Messiah Marcolin joined the band in 1987 bringing religous lyrics and a monk stage costume to their doom metal. The band has since then experienced numerous lineup changes, including the vocalist. But this year the original lineup got back together and released a self-titled album.
