December 8th, 2005 at 11:12 pm
Lennon’s death sure was a shock for the world. Today’s also the 1st anniversary since “Dimebag” Darrell’s assasination. All those murderers should have been tortured to death and take the pain within their souls.

Do you think the fuckwit who did it, did it because of what Lennon said about being ‘bigger than Jesus’?

Actually, the reason John Lennon’s murderer, Mark Chapman, did what he did was basically because Lennon, in Chapman’s eyes was a sellout. He thought his music had declined in quality recently, at the time; and the fact that John was the reason The Beatles broke up was just that much more of an incentive to rid hijm of this world.

it is sad that jonh lennon is shot yes, but not enough is being done to remember “dimebag” darrel abbott, the finest metal guitarist to ever grace the early nineties and early 2000’s. it doesnt seem like a year, and im sure it still hurts for Yoko for the sad death of her husband, as much as it does for vinnie paul and their family. much love to john and dimes families.

Who thinks that Kurt Cobain might of been actually murdered?
December 17th, 2005 at 12:37 am
I’m just grateful it wasn’t any of my favorite INXS guys joining Lennon’s fate. It sucks that Michael died (I was sad for 3 years over that), but now INXS has moved on and back in full force with the 5 remaining guys, plus a new lead singer!!!
As for John Lennon, I never cared about him.

Everlasting - According To John
to take another ride to town
The driver passes steeples
All day as he’s making his rounds
he tries to look away
’cause it reminds him of a brighter day
When his mother taught him to say
God so loved the world that He gave
Gave His only Son
That whosoever believeth on Him
Will never die, but have life Everlasting
There’s an old man mowin’ the graveyard
and he stops to wipe his brow
He was trimming around a statue
Of Jesus with His arms reaching down
And carved there in stone
Is a Bible verse he made his own
Such a long, long time ago
And it said
God so loved the world that He gave
Gave His only Son
That whosoever believeth on Him
Will never die, but have life Everlasting
A young man lost his wife to Heaven
Now family and friends have gone
At her closet, he’s weeping into empty dresses
Full of memories, every one
And he whispers, “I miss you”
And he tries to remember a promise or two
But he know that it’s still true
God so loved the world that He gave
Gave His only Son
That whosoever believeth on Him
Will never die but have life, Everlasting
God so loved the world that He gave
Gave His only Son
That whosoever believeth on Him
Will never die but have life, Everlasting
Never die but have life Everlasting

December 24th, 2005 at 12:32 pm
ya, it’s said that Mark Chapman is being reconsidered for release in fear of his own health: he’s already kept in maximum security and has a cell with a 1 foot thick door of steel and can’t be with any of the other inmates, cause they would kill him or at least to extreme bodily harm. So if he was released, it’s estimated that he won’t last a couple of weeks.

December 29th, 2005 at 1:54 pm
I’m afraid I hold the belief that Kurt Cobain was a talentless loser, who wasted what little time he had on this earth. Nirvana’s music was not exciting, groundbreaking, or any of the other labels that was pinned onto it at the time, and still is by various music publications, amongst others. Nirvana were merely a punk band, that did to the “Hair Metal” of the 80’s what punk did to the MOR rock of the mid-70s, killed it. I’m not saying they didn’t do a good job, but Cobain and Nirvana simply took something that had already been done and recycled it… badly.
Also, ditto about Lennon’s killer acdc lover. Not so sure about AC/DC though.
Summer deep is in the hills again
His lady is a lioness
Winds of birds blow through the fields again

A coat of grapes is on my back again

January 3rd, 2006 at 8:34 pm
if only he were still here.. just think of it that way .. i mean hismusic still touches the hearts of alot of people.. so just give peace a chance and believe in what john did… peace… and maybe you’ll make a difference like he did..
January 4th, 2006 at 3:57 am
I think being shot is too good for John Lennon’s killer. He should be made to suffer.
January 5th, 2006 at 12:49 pm
I personally think John’s beliefs were a bunch of hippy bullshit, and he never exactly did what he preached did he? I mean, “Imagine there’s no possessions”… the guy was a millionaire.
But saying that, he was a legend, and still is a legend.
His music touched millions of people and will continue to as far as i can see. Death is too good for Mark Chapman; he robbed the world of someone who will never be replaced.
January 8th, 2006 at 7:43 pm
it wasn’t exactly bullshit. and anyway the lyrics were ‘IMAGINE no possessions’ not ‘HAVE no possessions’ lol
January 9th, 2006 at 7:04 am
Lol yeah… but I’m sure he’d be the first to complain if someone came and took away all his stuff
January 11th, 2006 at 2:17 am
John Lennon was very talented person and a special person! His music will live on forever! And for David Chapman, he will have to answere when his day comes! As far as his song”Imagin”,it was a bunch of hippy bullshit! Maybe if you listen to it a little bit more, maybe you’ll understand it better? Just think if everyone did get along and didn’t fight, maybe this world would be a better place!
January 12th, 2006 at 4:00 am
I don’t think Jon ever said the song “Imagin” was a bunch of hippie bullshit, he said his beliefs were to which I would agree. I love his/their music, its some of the best ever. But alot of his beliefs were a little out there.
February 11th, 2006 at 12:43 am
At the Olympic games in Torino, a man, I forget his name, sang the song imagine, it was butched worse than an animal to the slaughter, I was disappointed and hurt.
p.s, Lennon rules!

May 29th, 2006 at 8:05 pm
There is something to the theory of conspiracy concerning the murder of Mr. Lennon. The power of his message and the potential of his influence on the minds of young and old was something that authorities feared. Rogue elements in government perceived that he could influence the direction of political issues and they could not allow that to happen. We will not ever find out the truth, but thankfully his music and message will live on and we can all be grateful that we had the chance to experience the life of one of the greatest musical and political leaders of our time. Mr. Lennon THANK YOU!!!

who cares about lennon??? cobains dead for heavens sake!!!!!!!!
June 7th, 2006 at 5:12 pm
maldito sea el que acabo con el mas grande cantante de todos los tiempos JONH LENNON
por que tuvo que ser el, por que no fue marilyn manson o michael jackson (par de idiotas) que son un insulto para la musica.
June 11th, 2006 at 2:35 pm
Comparing Lennon To Cobain is dumb, I liked Cobain but he had nowhere the influence musically and politically that Lennon had. Go buy John Lennon/plastic Ono band and it will put everything in perspective.

John is, He’s probably laughing.
August 30th, 2007 at 2:29 am
Yeah his music was almost worth the hippy bullshit he unleashed upon the world. However I can no longer enjoy “Imagine” without wincingly thinking of the kind of Stalinist Purges and brain washing it would entail.
August 30th, 2007 at 2:35 am
Actually the hippies were the most docile of conformists. Renaissance valued Classical liberalism was revolutionary, drug induced fantasies about mindless collectivism, unburdened by the “bourgeois” concept of reality and individual dignity and rights, are not.
