1. What is RockToons.com?

It is a website that features cartoon renditions of your favorite rock stars. It started up on the web back in 1996 with a small collection of one artist’s works and has continued since then now featuring the art of several artists.

2. How do I contact the site?

If you have a question not answered here then you may post your question in a special section of our forum called the mail bag, where someone will most likely be able to answer you.

3. Can I use the artwork?

In short the answer is NO. Now if you want to print a toon out for your self, for your own personal entertainment or for a school project (not a website) or something that is of course okay, we would never even know. You cannot use the images on your website. We do have some special versions of the toons you can use on your website if you have a backstage pass.

4. Can I use artwork to write a review or article about the site?

You may display up to 2 toons if you are writing a review of the website: RockToons.com in either a publication or from another website (if on a website the image must be cropped showing at most 50% of the toon or resized to a max of 50% the size of the toon), but this must be a full and legitimate review that includes a link to RockToons.com in print and the copyright information on the toons must be clearly visible.

5. I am serious about using the artwork for a professional website, magazine or newspaper, what do I do?

Well, still you cannot use the images shown at RockToons the way they are. They are specially designed and formatted for the RockToons website. However if you would like to use the original standalone toon for a serious project you will need to contact the artist for arrangements or permissions.

6. Come on, I just want to use the art, it will make my site look cool! Can I?

Get your own artists. This art is to make our site look cool. Use the art and we will hunt you down and stick you like a pig.

7. Please? Me usey arty art?

No. Stop that.

8. Why is my favorite band not tooned? How do I get it tooned?

The bands that are tooned are the artist’s choice. If you feel you can persuade the artists into tooning a band then you may make a request on the forum. But you will need to convince them that the band needs a toon and not just say “this band rocks!”. If you are a VIP member your odds of getting bands tooned will be much better.

9. Why are some bands here not rock?

Rock is hard to completely categorize and it is at our discretion as to what musicians are featured here. For some toons the artists have done of musicians that we feel do not fit in at RockToons.com we have them at EntertainmentToons.com

10. How do I become an official RockToons contributing artist?

If you feel you have what it takes to be a contributing artist the best thing for you to do is submit some guest art and let us know that you are interested in becoming a RockToons artist. You may also display your work at our forum and get feedback from some of the regulars or other artists.
